The Free School in Hanoi

The Free School is a charity organization founded in 2014 by an American war veteran. The school provides minimal administrative fee English language instruction to Vietnamese of all ages. We currently serve central Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam.

The majority of those attending our school are people from the northern provinces. Most of them are from farm families who cannot afford the expense of studying with native English speakers.

Being conversant in English is critically important for their career.

The school places great emphasis on speaking skills, especially pronunciation. We offer classes in the evenings and weekend mornings and afternoons. Volunteers have an opportunity to learn from students about the diversity of culture, climates and economies in Vietnam's unique provinces.
