About ISHCMC American Academy
International School Ho Chi Minh City - American Academy is an American curriculum school for grades 6-12 and serves approximately 435 students. The majority of our students are Vietnamese and English language learners. We offer a rigorous curriculum for our students, including AP courses and Syracuse University dual enrolment classes taught by excellent expat teachers. We are part of Cognita School Group, a UK-based organization committed to providing excellent teaching and supporting every student to achieve his or her full potential. Our student body is made primarily of Vietnamese nationals with a wide range of English language proficiency levels.
Our school’s goal is to provide personalized learning in a Positive, Caring, and Engaging environment. Positive Education concepts and strategies are built into our core curriculum, field trips, advisory program, and extracurricular activities in order to promote wellbeing and equip students to succeed in academics, their future careers, and their personal lives.
